Human Resources Manager
Outside of work…
When not at work I spend as much time as possible with my family. My husband, John, and I have been married for almost 30 years (I was a very young bride) and have raised four grown children, Adam (1987), Katelyn (1989), Hannah (1992) and Marissa (1993). We are thrilled to have added twin granddaughters to the family in January of 2015, Avery Jean (A.J.) and Gracelynn Isabelle (Gracie).  I love to sew, scrapbook, spend time walking through flea markets (I don’t know why because I have enough junk of my own) & spend time in or near water.

What you don’t know about me…
I have my CDL and can drive a bus.

How I got my bragging rights…
I attended RG Drage in their Accounting and Computing class and went on to work with some very talented and educated CPA’s who were able to expand the knowledge and make me a full charge bookkeeper. In 2013, I earned my Distinguished Toastmaster Award from Toastmasters’ International. In 2014, I earned my PHR from the HR Certification Institute and my SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resources.   I love to learn new things, and am always looking for ways to better my skills.

How I give back…
Currently I serve as Treasurer of Nimishillen Grange #1627 where I have been a member for over 45 years. I love downtown Canton and can be found volunteering at many events.  I am also a Committee member of the Canton REGIONAL Chamber of Commerce Fast Break Breakfast.

Who molded me into the person I am…
I have been influenced by so many people and events in my life it is hard to pinpoint. My parents obviously were a huge influence along with my six siblings. But I have to say my children have probably molded me more than anything. Looking at the world through a child’s eyes totally changes your perspective!

Architecture that inspires me…
When I travel I love to tour old churches. I am truly amazed at how they are built and I can spend hours looking at the stained glass.
